This policy covers Goods against loss or damage while in transit within the geographical area of cover and by Land only. 

The goods in transit cover Protects your Own stock or property in your own vehicles and when being transported by others i.e. Leased/Hired vehicles.

There are also policies available for Couriers and Hauliers who carry goods for others. 

Cover:

The cover provided is usually on an 'All risks' basis

• Includes theft, accidental damage and loss.
• Damages when they’re being loaded and unloaded.
• Damage to containers – e.g., if a pallet of paint is damaged and leaks everywhere
• Debris removal costs – e.g., the cost of cleaning a motorway after a spillage
• Loss of, or damage to ropes, tarpaulins and sheets. 
• This includes protection during intermediate storage.
